The Joffrey Ballet School’s New York City Jazz & Contemporary Pre-Professional Intensive offers dancers a unique opportunity to experience the worlds of concert and commercial dance. Simulating the life of a professional dancer, this program offers a daily, morning ballet technique class, followed by an immersive afternoon in contemporary and commercial repertory. The day finishes with discussions from dancers, choreographers, producers, and leading voices in the industry, ready to prepare students for life as a professional.

Dancers will learn how to successfully navigate a professional environment, from a fast-paced commercial project, to the nuanced process of preparing work for stage in a dance company. The program’s generous and well-rounded faculty, along with special guest artists, are ready to mentor and guide dancers from pre-professional to professional. Join us this summer for the New York City Jazz & Contemporary Pre-Professional Intensive, June 13-24th and August 15-26th!
