Joffrey Ballet School is committed to providing an inclusive environment for all students. Non-gender conforming students, students with religious and cultural considerations and any student needing additional support is welcome to contact us to discuss the dress code. Please contact our Customer Support department with any dress code questions and/or concerns.

Dress Code for female-identifying dancers ages 5-7:

• Lavender leotard, light pink or skin tone tights and light pink or skin tone ballet slippers. Ballet skirts are optional.
• Jazz shoes are required.
• Character heels and character skirt are optional.
• Dancers should secure their hair in a bun with a hair net.

Dress Code for male-identifying dancers ages 5-7:

• White T-shirt, black footed tights, black socks, black ballet slippers.
• Jazz shoes are required.
• Dancers with hair longer than their collar should secure their hair in a ponytail.

Supplies required for all dancers:

• A water bottle
• A snack

Joffrey Ballet School’s Dance Camps will present Studio showings.

Parents/Guardians should escort their dancer to the 4th floor (via the elevator) and drop off their dancer at the Studio 5 door. The parent/guardian must then exit the building immediately. Pick up follows the same process. Please do not arrive for drop off and pick up more than 15 minutes prior to the start or ending time for the Camp.

During the dance camp, the teacher, musician, and teaching assistant will be in the studio to monitor your dancer. Dancers are never permitted out of the studio without the direct supervision of a teacher or teaching assistant. The Artistic Director is also on-site for additional supervision and assistance.
