Classes are offered Monday – Friday. Students (ages 3-4) can register for one, two, three or four weeks. Students (ages 5-7) can register for one, two, or three weeks.

Guardians are invited into the studio on Mondays at 9:15 am for a brief program orientation.

Weekly schedules for Dance Camps are pre-set by age:
NYC Children’s Dance Camp Ages 3-4 | 9:30 am – 11:30 am
NYC Children’s Dance Camp Ages 5-7 | 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm

Joffrey Ballet School is committed to providing an inclusive environment for all students. Non-gender conforming students, students with religious and cultural considerations and any student needing additional support is welcome to contact us to discuss the dress code. Please contact our Customer Support department with any dress code questions and/or concerns.

Dress Code for female-identifying dancers ages 3-4:

• Ballet pink leotard, light pink or skin tone tights and light pink or skin tone ballet slippers. Ballet skirts are optional.
• Dancers should secure their hair in a bun with a hair net.

Dress Code for male-identifying dancers ages 3-4:

• White T-shirt, black footed tights, black socks, black ballet slippers.
• Dancers with hair longer than their collar should secure their hair in a ponytail.
  

Dress Code for female-identifying dancers ages 5-7:

• Lavender leotard, light pink or skin tone tights and light pink or skin tone ballet slippers. Ballet skirts are optional.
• Jazz shoes and character shoes with a small heel are optional.
• Dancers should secure their hair in a bun with a hair net.

Dress Code for male-identifying dancers ages 5-7:

• White T-shirt, black footed tights, black socks, black ballet slippers.
• Jazz shoes are optional.
• Dancers with hair longer than their collar should secure their hair in a ponytail.

Supplies required for all dancers:

• A water bottle and snack.
• A yoga mat or large beach towel (3-4 camp).
• A paint smock (3-4 camp).

Parents/Guardians should escort their dancer to the 4th floor (via the elevator) and drop off their dancer at the Studio 4 door. The parent/guardian must then exit the building immediately. Pick up follows the same process. Please do not arrive for drop off and pick up more than 15 minutes prior to the start or ending time for the Camp.

A completed physical or physician’s note from within the last 12 months is required and should be completed before a dancer begins their selected dance camp. If you have a completed physical examination for your dancer from within the last calendar year, you can substitute it in place of the Doctor’s note. The letter must state that the dancer is healthy and physically able to participate in the summer program. This form will be submitted at the student’s program orientation. A complete physical is not necessary. Sample Doctor’s Note

During the dance camp, the teacher, musician, and teaching assistant will be in the studio to monitor your dancer. Dancers are never permitted out of the studio without the direct supervision of a teacher or teaching assistant. The Artistic Director and Program Coordinator are also on-site for additional supervision and assistance.
