Sofia Cozzolino (she/her) is a summa cum laude graduate of New Jersey City University with a BFA in Music, Dance, and Theater. Sofia is also an alumni of Joffrey Ballet School’s NYC Ballet Trainee Program. She has danced in multiple performances, including Joffrey Ballet School’s production of The Nutcracker, Paquita, and Belong, and has danced a soloist role with the Open World Dance Foundation’s production of Cinderella. Sofia has also performed with NYU Steinhardht in their Faculty Concert, as well as danced and choreographed in NYU’s Master’s Spring Concert.
In addition to performing, Sofia is very passionate about dance education. She has taught and assisted at Organic Movements Ballet School, Joffrey Ballet School, and American Ballet Theatre’s JKO School. Sofia is currently pursuing her MA in Dance Education from New York University, and completing her Teaching Certification from the ABT JKO School in their National Training Curriculum.
