Michael Waldrop

David Thomas was born and raised in the heart of Hip Hop: the Bronx. David began dancing at the young age of 4, implicating moves from the king of pop Michael Jackson. In 2002 at age 13, David decided to form his own dance company, which would later be known as WRT “The Collective (“We Run This”).  David began to train his new team as well as himself with complex choreography, creative concepts, themes and music bringing a fresh new authentic style to the table.

David began to set his mark starting his professional dance & choreography career in 2008.  Working and training closely with some of the dance industry’s Hottest such as Hollywood, Candace Brown, Luam, Luther Brown, Jared Jenkins, Keenan Cooks, Miles Keeney, Soraya Lundy, Shirlene Quigley to name a few.  Performing for Pharrell Williams “Girl” Campaign, Fox network the Four’s Sharaya J,  and the MTV VMAs with Travis Scott. Choreographing alongside Bessie award winner Soledad Barrio & Noche Flamenca dance co. & Choreographer for Atlantic Records artist IV Jay as well as teaching internationally & Nationally including Israel, Russia, China, Dominican Republic, LA, Washington DC, Boston, Atlanta, all parts of NYC,  NYC’s Broadway Dance Center,  Peridance Capezio Center, & the Alvin Ailey Extention.
