Round 1 interviews
June 17, 2026 through July 17, 2026
- Qualified candidates will receive an invitation to sign up for the first round of interviews within two weeks after they submitted their application.
- It is strongly recommended that invited candidates schedule their round 1 interview as early as possible.
Round 2 interviews
June 18, 2026 through July 31, 2026
- Qualified candidates will receive an invitation to sign up for the second round of interviews within one week after their first interview.
- Interns are hired as round 2 interviews are completed, so we strongly encourage invited candidates to schedule their second interview as early as possible.
Qualifications, Requirements & Competencies
Minimum requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 18+ and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage long hours and multiple responsibilities
Preferred qualifications
- Pursuing or holding a BA/BFA
- Experience in Residence Life, Student Affairs, Child Care, or similar
- Administrative or Customer Service experience
- First Aid or medical training
- Previous summer intensive or Joffrey experience (for Lead roles)
Core competencies
- Professionalism and composure in high-pressure situations
- Ability to enforce policies fairly and consistently
- Empathy, inclusivity, and strong interpersonal awareness
- Discretion with sensitive information
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and support at least 50 lbs
- Assist injured students if needed
- Move equipment (bed frames, mattresses, barres, flooring, supplies)
- Assist with emergency procedures, including stair navigation
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for students, fostering a supportive, inclusive, and community-oriented environment
- Support student well-being by addressing concerns, mediating conflicts, and conducting wellness checks when appropriate
- Assist with daily operations across residence halls and studios, including check-in/check-out, attendance tracking, scheduling, and maintaining organized spaces
- Monitor and enforce policies, respond to incidents, and complete accurate documentation and reports
- Manage administrative tasks such as email communication, phones, records, and coordination of logistics
- Support program execution, including events, performances, building setup, and general logistics
TIME COMMITMENT
The internship does not follow a traditional 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday–Friday schedule. Due to the nature of program operations, duty shifts are scheduled seven days a week, based on studio programming and the 24/7 needs of the residence halls. Interns should be prepared to work morning, afternoon, or evening shifts on any day of the week.
Compensation: $200 per week
