“At Joffrey Ballet School, we believe that exceptional dance education begins with visionary leadership and a deep respect for the art form. Our collaboration with Tap Into The Network over the past two years has demonstrated Ryan and Angela’s commitment to cultivating the next generation of tap artists. We are thrilled to welcome them as Artistic Directors and look forward to the creativity, expertise, and fresh perspectives they will bring to our Tap Intensive. Through Tap Into The Network (TITN), they have cultivated a nationwide community of dancers and educators, creating meaningful opportunities for artistic development, mentorship, and professional growth.
Their approach aligns with Joffrey Ballet School’s commitment to cultivating versatile, expressive, and technically accomplished artists who are prepared to contribute to the evolving dance landscape.
Under their artistic direction, the Joffrey NY Tap Summer Intensive will offer a focused training experience that connects the history of tap with its contemporary and emerging forms.
The curriculum will emphasize tap technique, history, repertoire, improvisation, composition, and musicality, encouraging students to develop technical precision, rhythmic understanding, creative individuality, and performance quality.
Students will train in an immersive environment designed to challenge their artistry, expand their versatility, and deepen their connection to the art form. Weekly informal showings will offer opportunities to share their progress and creative exploration with family and friends.
