Peter Manheim is a drummer and percussionist from Evanston, Illinois. In 2012, he completed his bachelors degree in music at Oberlin Conservatory. While at school, he was fortunate to study with drumming masters Billy Hart and Jamey Haddad, both of whom became extremely important mentors to him. Upon completing school, Peter moved to Brazil, where he spent six months traveling, performing, and studying Brazilian drums and percussion. He subsequently returned to Chicago, where he lived until relocating to Brooklyn, NY in 2016. Peter can be seen performing regularly around the city as well as nationally and internationally with a variety of bands, including his own. His debut EP, “In Time” was released in 2023 on Northern Spy Records, and was followed up in 2025 by a full length record, “Early Waves.”
