Gwendolyn is from Seattle, Washington, and is currently a rising senior at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and hopes to pursue a career in professional dance post-graduation. She wrapped up her junior year at Arizona by performing several different works including Martha Graham’s “Chronicle (Prelude to Action)” at The Joyce Theater in NYC. Gwen loves working with students of all ages. She has years of teaching experience at Pacific West Performing Arts, providing education to students ages 5-15 in styles like jazz, contemporary, ballet, pointe, and more. She also has had the opportunity to make a positive impact on young children through her experience as an assistant teacher at her local daycare, Main Street Kids. Here, she worked with children ages infant through 5, tending to their individual needs, managing the classroom, and communicating with parents daily. Through these opportunities, she has stepped into several leadership roles, sharpening her skills in communication, patience, organization, and of course, creating a positive learning environment.
