Ariel Asch

Ariel Asch is a Milwaukee-raised, New York-based choreographer, dancer, and full-time dance educator. She received her BFA in Dance from Fordham University/Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. In 2017, she completed her Masters in Dance Education at Hunter University as a Lincoln Center Scholar. Ariel founded the indie-ballet collaborative, an interdisciplinary performance group, where she acted as choreographer, producer, and artistic director from 2012-2015. In fall of 2015, she started a dance program at University Neighborhood High School on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, where she continues to teach full-time. Ariel also taught movement for actors at HB studio, and teaches improvisation for Joffrey Ballet School’s Jazz and Contemporary program. Her choreographic work has been shown at 92nd Street Y, Symphony Space, Ailey Citigroup Theater, Dance New Amsterdam, Center for Performance Research, and more. She has choreographed music videos for artists including Ari Lennox ft. J Cole, David Archuleta, Foreign Fields, and Morgxn.
