Taylor Pietersen is from Johannesburg, South Africa, and she is currently in year 2 of the Jazz and Contemporary trainee program at the Joffrey Ballet New York City Location. She majors in Dance and is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with the Joffrey and New Jersey University. Pietersen has a passion for film and photography, which stemmed from capturing her own life as well as those around her. In 2022, she attended a one-year program in South Africa that focused on the art of videography and content creation to refine her marketing skills. Pietersen has always had a love and zeal for videography and the art of the lens. Pietersen creates her own dance content creation, as well as collaborates with multiple dancers & artists for their content creation. This outlet has only become an addition to her artistic expression as a performer herself, and she wishes to continue expanding her skills, experience, and knowledge through this opportunity as an intern with Joffrey.
