The Joffrey Miami Ballet/Contemporary Intensive focuses on the complete training of a well-rounded dancer. Dancers are immersed in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary and more. The intensive brings together a superb faculty led by Jo Matos, who has been a cornerstone of the Joffrey educational process. The dancers will be given an opportunity to make serious improvement to their Jazz, Modern and Contemporary Dance technique. The dancers will work on clean technique, fusion based choreography, musicality and theatricality. The dancer will have a combination of Body Conditioning/Pilates, Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary Dance, Theater Dance, Latin Jazz, Repertory, Improvisation, Modern Dance and to round out the dancer’s experience and Yoga Class to center the day’s work. Professionals currently working in New York City, Miami and around the country will impart their wisdom each day in class. The dancers will have an opportunity each day to ask career questions of these professionals. The focus is technique combined with theatricality!
