Ruby Jean Maxion, from Carmel, CA, is pursuing a BFA in Dance and a BS in Human Performance & Nutrition at The University of Arizona, expected to graduate in 2027. She trained in jazz, ballet, and contemporary at The Dance Center in Carmel and later joined Mather Dance Company. There, she participated in the Bridge into the Industry program led by Shannon Mather, focusing on commercial dance styles. Ruby is passionate about child development and mentorship, aiming to inspire young dancers and children. She has extensive experience in teaching and caregiving. Ruby also enjoys video editing and filming, with projects spanning high school, her time at Mather Dance Company, and college. After graduating, she plans to perform as a dancer with companies, on cruise lines, or as an NFL cheerleader. She also intends to use her Human Performance and Nutrition degree to help dancers with athletic training and recovery.
