Kaitlin Marks was born and raised in Austin, Texas, and is a rising senior at the University of Alabama. Here, she is receiving her Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology with minors in Food & Nutrition and Italian Language. Kaitlin trained in Austin under the direction of Cheryl Copeland with Bhumn Arts Ensemble. With Bhumn Arts Ensemble, Kaitlin gained experience in both concert and commercial dance as well as experience working with a nutritionist, a sports psychologist, and in various forms of cross-training. Such as Progressive Ballet Training, Pilates, and Barre. At the University of Alabama, Kaitlin is a member of a non-profit student-run organization called “Dance Alabama!”. Last year, Kaitlin served as the Philanthropic Director, working hands-on with their Philanthropy, Arts & Autism. Through this, Kaitlin worked weekly with children on the spectrum, teaching them dance classes and fun movement-based exercises. Kaitlin also has experience working with children ages 2-15 through her work with Kinderdance Austin, where she taught a variety of ballet, tap, and gymnastics in schools and daycares. Kaitlin’s work in Health & wellness stems from her role as a Food & Nutrition student, with an emphasis on working with athletes and their nutritional demands, and how these differ from those of the general population.
