Johanna Makela is a vocal performance student at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. She grew up working in performing in the Midwest, most recently spending the summer in Valparaiso, Indiana as a choral fellow at Lutheran Summer Music Academy and Festival. There, she mentored high school musicians through educational and performance opportunities, as well as assisted staff and faculty with administrative tasks. At St. Olaf, she has worked the ticketing booth and backstage of several dance, theater, and music productions, as well as had the opportunity to appear on stage alongside other performing arts students. She is excited to expand her circle into California this summer, working with incredible artists, students, and staff at Joffrey.
