Thelma Flores holds a Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts with a major in Ballet and
Pedagogy and Minor in Education at the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon (U.A.N.L.) in
Monterrey, N.L., Mexico. riginally from Monterrey, NL Mexico began to dancing/Ballet at the age of 5 under the direction of Mrs. Claradelia Peña. As part of her training she attended many Summer Intensive including: “Escuela Nacional de Ballet” La Havana Cuba, “Scuola Professionale Italiana de la Danza (SPID)” Milano Italia, “Centro Cultural Espacio en Movimiento” Guadalajara Jal., “Ballet of las Americas” El Paso Tx. Thelma Flores training is base in the Cuban Syllabus, and the Royal Academy of Dance. During her training she has been working with amazing training artists in the Ballet world including Maestro Fernando Alonso, Maria Eugenia Fuentes, Egon Bischoff, Ingeborg Heuser, Elsa Recagno, Dulce Ma. Silvera, Anna Maria Prina. She also has been offered scholarships by the Ballet of the Americas, Scuola Profesional Italiana de la Danza and U.A.N.L.
Collaborated, under the tutelage of master and teacher Fernando Alonso (founder of Cuban Ballet), in the restructuring of the curricula of the Classic Dance Basic Level of the U.A.N.L. She was part of the Scenic Art Company from UANL were she participated in different roles and ballets including Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Black Swan, Giselle, Sleeping Beauty. Have passed the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Vocational Graded Exams. Certified PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique). Over 15 years experience as a Ballet teacher and Dance Program Coordinator.
