Eleanor Hale is a first-year college student from Westchester, NY, intending to study Psychology, Dance, and Spanish at Barnard College of Columbia University in NYC. She has always loved working with children, and opportunities like her six summers as a day camp counselor, running a dance club for middle schoolers, babysitting for local families, and volunteering at a church school helped solidify her passion to pursue this in the future. Due to personal connections, she is particularly passionate about working with neurodivergent children and believes everyone deserves the support they need to reach their goals. Training in dance since she was three, Eleanor’s passion for performing led her to join the Columbia University Dance Team and Columbia University Ballet Ensemble this past year. However, she also knows the work and dedication needed behind the scenes of any great performance, when she led a stage crew of 20 peers and operated a complicated audio system as stage manager and audio engineer for her high school’s performing arts program. Eleanor has experience as both a dorming and commuter student at Joffrey Ballet School’s NYC Ballet (2023 & 2025) and Jazz & Contemporary (2025) summer intensives. Her wonderful experiences inspired her to join the team, and she is super excited to help future students have a great time developing their skills, making friends, and exploring the city she loves so much.
