Colorado Summer Intensives

Joffrey Colorado is an intimate program dedicated to an immersive study of ballet. Students work with a small group of acclaimed faculty under the artistic direction of Colleen Barnes who fully invest in shaping a dancer’s technique and artistry. Students participate in two ballet technique classes each day, refining their work in Ballet, Pointe, and Variations. Dancers are supported in their ballet technique with daily classes in the jazz and contemporary mediums, as well as a conditioning class at the beginning or end of their day.

For dancers participating in the last week (July 20 – July 24) of the intensive, the program will culminate in a theater performance at Boulder Ballet Studios at Dairy Arts Center. This final week of the program is focused on the performance. Dancers will have technique classes in the morning and will be focusing on repertoire and rehearsal during the rest of the day.
