Cameron Jackson is a passionate and driven performer from Northern Virginia, who graduated from Chapman University in 2024 with a BFA in Screen Acting and a minor in Leadership Studies. Throughout her four years at Chapman, Cameron developed a strong foundation in both the arts and leadership, which was further enhanced by her extensive involvement in Residence Life and First Year Experience. Serving as a Resident Advisor (RA), Lead Resident Advisor, and Office Assistant, Cameron dedicated three out of her four undergraduate years to supporting her peers and fostering a positive community.
During her time as a Chapman RA, she had the privilege of mentoring a diverse group of students, including freshman dance majors who profoundly inspired her. Their ability to tell stories through physicality and their unwavering dedication to the craft left a lasting impression on Cameron, motivating her to apply for the Joffrey Ballet School internship. With a deep love for all aspects of the performing arts, Cameron sees this opportunity as a chance to not only grow as a leader but also expand her knowledge and personal skills in dance. She is currently preparing to play Chiffon in a production of Little Shop of Horrors in Glendale, California, and recently closed her performance as Joanne in Rent at a theatre in Hollywood.
Cameron is particularly excited about how her role at Joffrey Ballet School will teach her an abundance of tools to help her achieve her lifelong mission of creating a School of Performing Arts for individuals with disabilities. She is thrilled to join the Joffrey team and is eager to collaborate with staff and students on a journey that promises both personal and professional growth.
