WHAT NEEDS TO BE INCLUDED IN A VIDEO/DIGITAL SUBMISSION?

2013 Ballet Online Video Audition Requirements

The audition submission should begin with a short technical demonstration at the barre or center. The student must include plies, tendues, degages (from fifth position, both straight and with plie), ronde de jambe, passé developpe en croix, grand battements, and balances on one leg. The exercises can be short, but with enough repetition that the dancer can be seen clearly. This section does not need to be more than ten minutes in length. Please also include a classical variation, (on pointe for women) one to two minutes in length.

2013 Jazz & Contemporary Online Video Audition Requirements

The audition submission should begin with a short technical demonstration at the barre or center. The exercises can be short, but with enough repetition that the dancer can be seen clearly. This section does not need to be more than ten minutes in length. Please also include a modern or jazz solo, one to two minutes in length.
