UNIQUE TALENT. UNIQUE EDUCATION. Â Dear Students and Parents,
I am writing to share some very exciting and important news that will affect all Kaplan High School (KHS) families. As you may have heard, K12 Inc., America’s largest provider of online education for grades K-12, has entered into an agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of Kaplan Virtual Education. K12 has delivered over 3.2 million courses to hundreds of thousands of students worldwide, and has received numerous awards and honors for curriculum quality and innovation.
As a result of this transaction, KHS will no longer be accepting enrollments. Instead, you now have an opportunity to continue your education in one of two exceptional, exciting online programs: The K12 International Academy or The George Washington University Online High School. All of your credits and records will be transferred over to whichever program you choose. In addition, many of the same teachers, counselors and other team members from KHS are anticipated to become employees of K12 Inc. In the unlikely event you choose to transfer to a school other than one of these two programs, KHS will facilitate the transfer as seamlessly as possible. Of course, you will be able to finish the classes into which you have enrolled and are completing work on the current system and with the same support you have experienced as a student of KHS.
As always, our students are our highest priority. I am very excited to be joining the K12 family and I hope you will be too.
