Students who attend any New York City Summer Intensive will be assigned to one of the below housing facilities and meal plans.
dorm check-in/out and orientation
The official check in times at the dormitory is:
12 pm to 4 pm on Sundays only.
All students must check out by 12pm on Saturday of their last week attending.
There is a mandatory orientation at all dormitories at 7pm on the day of check in.
12 years of age or older to be in Joffrey Ballet School housing.
Students under 12 years of age that require housing should attend our Joffrey South Intensive.
61 Grove St, New York, NY 10014
The apartments are located in the Western portion of Greenwich Village. The West Village is usually defined as bounded by the Hudson River and Sixth Avenue extending from 14th Street down to Houston Street. Bordering neighborhoods include Chelsea to the North, the South Village, the newly invented area called Hudson Square to the South, and Greenwich Village to the East. The neighborhood is primarily residential, with a multitude of small restaurants, shops and services. Everything from supermarkets to pharmacies to 24 hour convenience stores, are located within walking distance of the apartments.
The building consists of eleven apartments with three to four bedrooms each, a full bath and a kitchen. Bedrooms are either singles or doubles. Each bedroom will be furnished with a bed(s), dresser(s) and a desk. Kitchens are equipped with all major appliances including a dishwasher, as well as pots, pans, dishes, and utensils. Apartments are cable and Internet ready. Air conditioners are provided.
55 John St. New York, NY 10014
This residence hall comprises floors five through seventeen. Each room features double occupancy, a telephone, wall-to-wall carpeting, and an Ethernet connection (no ethernet cord provided) and wireless throughout the building. 55 John St. dormitory is an alcohol and substance-free building. Each floor is staffed with a Resident Advisor who plans and organizes educational and social programs on a regular basis.
Facilities in building includes:
- There is only a TV lounge and study lounge in the basement and 18th floor.
- Laundry is located in the basement.
- Laundry machines in this building are from Maytag (provided by Macgray) and there is a charge to use these machines.
- There is NO telephone, carpeting, themes or an elevator away
from classes. Each room has a refrigerator and microwave.
All resident rooms are equipped with Cable, and High-Speed Ethernet and wireless Internet access. Wireless internet access is also provided throughout the building.

- Window treatment: black window blinds (provided)
- Bed style: Standard twin (loftable; in some rooms, beds are REQUIRED to be lofted due to available space or room configuration)

- Non-Traditional students are those who are 25 years of age and older, and are not placed 55 John St. dormitory, even if they are first-year students.
Cable service is provided to all University-owned residence halls, through the University, by an agreement with local cable service providers.

The American Academy of Dramatic Arts offers their newly restored loft-‐style student housing. The location in lower Midtown offers community, safety, convenience, and an invaluable total immersion experience for training and living in the heart of New York City. The Academy House is made up of 12 spacious floors of exclusive furnished housing.
All students residing in The Academy House will reside in shared bedroom suites with large windows, air conditioning, heat, full-‐size washer and dryers, large common living rooms with flat-screen TV's, utilities and Wifi included, modern kitchens with new appliances and dishwashers, 24-hour security, weekly professional cleaning services for common and bathroom areas, and 24-hour deli and convenience store on property.

Just minutes from the South Street Seaport, Fulton Hall, between William Street and Dutch Street, Fulton Hall offers enough space to house over two hundred students. Fulton Hall is located in the Financial District of lower Manhattan. Full of winding cobblestone streets and dazzling architecture, this is one of the most historic and fascinating neighborhoods in the city-and true to its name; this area is home to the New York Stock Exchange and Wall Street.
All students and interns residing at Fulton Hall live in double and triple-occupancy rooms with large windows and private bathrooms. The building features a TV lounge on the 2nd floor, and a study lounge, performing arts rehearsal space, laundry room, and fitness room located on the 3rd floor. Maytag laundry machines are available to be used free of charge to all residents. Students are provided with refrigerators. Amenities include 24-hour security, window treatment: black window blinds provided, Internet access, and fitness center on site.
Meal plan is not mandatory for dancers residing in NYC Housing.

Prices include food, beverage and sales tax.
Dancers in housing will automatically be registered for meals.
Meal Plans are not mandatory for dancers residing in our New York City Housing.
The meal plan will be removed if your dancer has special dietary needs. Simply email us after registering and it will be removed from your account and all fees will be credited back to our account.

NON-REFUNDABLE TUITION AND OTHER FEES
It is the policy of the Center for American Dance / Joffrey Ballet School that all tuition and other fees paid shall not be refunded at any time, regardless of the time of cancellation by the student or student's parents or guardians or whether the relevant program has commenced. In the event that the relevant program has been cancelled by the Center for American Dance / Joffrey Ballet School, the School will make best efforts to move the student into a substantially similar program; in the event that no such substantially similar program exists, the School will issue a full refund.
