Rate: $1,199.00 Overview The Joffrey Ballet School is very excited to bring to you another summer full of Jazz and Contemporary Intensives and Weekend Workshops. Since its inception four years ago, the Joffrey Ballet School Jazz and Contemporary Program has been at the forefront of providing students with the widest range of techniques and most consistent training for them to utilize as working artists in the dance world. The programs offer different styles of jazz, innovative and cutting edge contemporary dance techniques, and classical dance instruction. During our intensives, the students work with dancers and company artists from around the world and learn progressive techniques to keep them ahead of the curve. Our students attend our programs to work hard, dance hard, and come out being better dancers than when they came in. Joffrey Ballet School Jazz and Contemporary Dance Program Director, Dorrell Martin, former Artistic Director of Houston Metropolitan Dance Company, has enjoyed a prolific career dancing for companies throughout the United States, Europe and Latin America. Dorrell is thrilled to bring his love for dance and teaching to the Joffrey Ballet School Jazz and Contemporary Dance Programs. The faculty of the program consists of instructors from the Joffrey Ballet School as well as up and coming jazz and contemporary modern teachers and choreographers of New York City. Those programs are designed for the well-rounded dancer.
