Junior Trainee Program September 15th, 2008 - June 6th, 2009 Junior Trainee Program is a program for students ages 14 - 17 who are in advanced level of ballet training. To be accepted into the junior trainee program you must audition first. Students who are accepted into our Jr. Trainee program are immersed in an intensive after school dance regimen. The program consists of classes in ballet technique, variations, pointe, pas de deux, contemporary ballet, and optional character, Jazz, and pilates classes. The goal of the Jr. Trainee program is to prepare young dancers who show potential for admittance into a post-graduate, pre-professional dance program such as our Trainee program. In fact, Jr. Trainees are often cast together and rehearse with our Trainee program students for performances, providing an opportunity for the student both to learn and be inspired by those who have taken the next step in their careers. The same instructors that teach in our Trainee program also teach the Junior Trainees, they include George De La Pena (Artistic Director), John Magnus, Era Jouravlev, Dorrell Martin, Larissa Callero, Elizabeth D’Anna, and Francesca Corkle.
