BALLET
Ms. D’Anna is a native New Yorker, born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and trained at the Joffrey Ballet School. Among some of her teachers were Meredith Baylis, Jonathan Watts, Dorothy Lister, Francesca Corkle and Jacques Cesbron. Under the direction of Meredith Baylis and Dorothy Lister, Ms. D’Anna also completed a four year teacher training course recognized by the NASD. Ms. D’Anna was a member of Jose Coronado & Dancers and Yung Yung Tsuai & Dancers. After leaving New York, Ms. D’Anna joined the Delta Festival Ballet and was shortly after promoted to soloist. Among some of the ballets she performed were Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, Peter and the Wolf and La Fille Mal Gardee. Ms. D’Anna has also taught at Grand Rapids Summer Fest. Ms. D’Anna returned to the Joffrey Ballet School where she has been teaching all levels of ballet from pre-ballet to professional level classes since 1982. In 1996 Ms. D’Anna was named Director of the Children’s Department at the Joffrey Ballet School.
